Though not a nationalist, but an artist, advertising and promoting Russian Art at this time is more than insensitive.
Why is NYC Art world separating bullying with sales?
Ukraine is a rich culture and in this current climate – how can the Art world march forward into Russian Art promotions?
It is not that there are not beautiful, good, intelligent artists within Russia, yet why is not these same artists not using the ‘art platform’ to bring attention to the disrespect and invasion of an autonomous land like Ukraine?
Ai Wei Wei is a good example and I encourage artists from Russia to use the vehicle of art to do, as so many comedians do-speak, write, design and draw and be the ‘pressure release valve’ for this cultural anomalies within Russia and without.
Sincerely.
